So as I&#039;m sure many of you have heard. The new metro tunnel under construction in ZhongGuanCun collapsed last week. Prior to the collapse that trapped 6 workers underneath, there was an earlier collapse but didn&#039;t hurt anyone. The company, I heard, ignored the collapse and continued working on the metro. This second collapse is what trapped the 6 workers. When the tunnel first collapsed the company did not notify any officials or police and tried to cover it up/take care of it itself. After 8 hours when it realized it couldn&#039;t handle it, the officials were finally notified.<br /><br />A day ago I read in the news that there also was a collapse in a new under-construction Shanghai metro.<br /><br />After hearing these news, just makes me sigh and shake my head...
