Chinese Language/Foreign Students living on-campus in Tsinghua have the option of staying in the Zijing Dormitories. The Zijing Dormitories are several buildings that house Foreign Language Students and special guests. They are three different layouts, at different rates. The Zijing Dormitories are located in the North Eastern corner of campus. The closest exit to the Zijing Dormitories is North East Gate (Dong1 Bei3 Men2 er) 东北门儿.
No rates are listed here, to view rates please view the Zijing Discount article . Rates may be subject to change and the article may not reflect the latest rates. In one of my blog articles I also briefly mention the dormitory I resided in. Following are the three types of Zijing Dormitories: Double Rooms (Building 23): One room shared between 2 people. - two beds - two desks - one TV - shared bathroom on each floor AB Rooms (Building 20): One suite, with 2 seperate bedrooms. The second most popular choice, when Single Rooms are all full. - one desk per bedroom - one single-door wardrobe per bedroom - one bookshelf per bedroom - one TV per bedroom - shared bathroom per suite (used only by you and your suitemate) - shared small kitchen area, which includes microwave, cabinets, kitchen counter, sink (used only by you and your suitemate) - 2 keys per person: one key to open the suite door, then one key to open your bedroom within the suite Single Rooms (Building 21 & 22): One full room per person. Typically the most popular choices. - one bed - one desk - one TV - private bathroom - tiny micro-sized kitchen counter with cabinet & sink - 2 door warbdrobe Locking Your Valuables: The desk and the wardrobe come with little tabs that you can use a small lock to lock it with. You can bring your own locks or purchase them in stores and lock your wardrobe, drawers and etc when desired. Cleaning Schedules: Each room comes with cleaning service six times a week which includes sweeping & mopping of all floors, restroom cleaning, and trash removal. Bedding is changed once per week. If anything appears to be unclean or sanitary despite the regular cleanings, please report it to the reception desk. I had experience where my newly changed pillowcase still had an ugly yellow tint to it, after washing it myself, the tint was gone, making me question whether the beddings were really properly cleaned.
