Academic background: Tsinghua Chinese Language Student from level 101 of Spring Semester 2005 to current level 401B of Fall 2006.

Lifestyle:

- What made you decide to learn Chinese? As an ethnic Chinese, I wished to learn the language and also for possible future opportunities.

- Why did you choose Beijing, China? My father told me that Beijing has the most standard Chinese

- How long did you plan to study for? I originally planned for two years, but am now extending it to 2 & 1/2 years, because I still need more Chinese education.

- How did you choose your school? I considered Beida, BLCU, & Tsinghua. I ruled out Beida because it didn't have proper dorms. I ruled out BLCU because I heard there were too many Indonesians. So I chose Tsinghua and afterwards found out that it also had the best dorms, except the hot water issue. There is only have hot water daily at 7am-9am, 3pm-5pm, and 8pm-12am.

- How do you like your teachers? They are very good!

- What do you think of Beijing transportation? I rate it between below average to bad. The public transportation is often too crowded, dirty, smelly, and manners seem to disappear.

- How would you rate the entertainment in Beijing: Above Average

Favorites:

- What sort of entertainment do you like to do in Beijin? I like to watch movies and window shop.

- What local foods do you like the best? 羊肉串, 香辣土豆丝

- Where are some of your favorite locations? Grandma's Kitchen (建国门),王底井,Sanlitun,后海,Matsuko(木公子),金鼎轩

- How do you feel about your overall experience here? One word, Unforgettable.

- Do you see any future for you with China? I will definitely be back for holiday trips.
